I just watched the documentary Mur ("wall"), about the separation wall being built in Israel to divide Jews from Arabs. It's a good movie about a very sad, bitter story. I don't understand how the Zionist Jews can be so selfish and nationalistic and subject the Arabs to some of the same treatment they themselves were subjected to under the Nazis. They seem completely self-absorbed and incapable of empathy with others' situations. And their cruelty and military domination of the Arabs is funded by billions of dollars in aid from America every year. Conservatives love to remember Ronald Reagan's "tear down this wall" speech, calling for the Berlin Wall to be torn down, but how is this any different? If anything, it's worse. The racism and mistreatment in Israel is no better than the apartheid of South Africa, either. And America is building more such walls, dividing neighbor from neighbor along ethnic lines, in downtown Baghdad. It's farcical to describe America as a spreader of freedom and democracy, when our main ally in the region is Israel, ruthless, brutal, and callous to its neighbors, and our actions are no better.
Here is a documentary on the subject of the wall from Alternate Focus, via YouTube, on the same topic. It's not as good as Mur, but it should be educational if you don't know anything about the wall.
This other documentary about Israel/Palestine from (WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT) YouTube, called "The Killing Zone", is really painful to watch. It's filmed entirely in the Palestinian territories and shows what life is like under the Israeli occupation, with missile and machine gun attacks on civilian neighborhoods, houses being bulldozed, protesters being shot, journalists being shot, and masked men vowing revenge for the murders of civilians. The level of brutality on the part of the Israeli Army is astounding. Once again, it reminds me of the Nazis. (WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT)
